When I think about struggle and sacrifice during the early years in the US of A, the first thing that comes to my mind is how much it sucked to walk for a mile to go to work (fast-food job) in frigid weather, and uphill especially when it snows and is windy as hell. looking back at those experiences, I could easily see how much impact they had on who I am today.

A lot of people are losing jobs, we're out of season, gas and food are getting more expensive everyday...I don't know if your average household around here can swing something like that right now.

my father rents year round to a family of mexican americans in south jersey. in the summer, we got a call from one of the neighbors that at 11pm there was 66 people in the backyard that consists of just a deck and a small grass patch. yes, she counted 66.
