If we cannot verify the condition of their past rental property with the previous landlords, we do check the condition of their vehicle whenever possible (with a grain of salt, of course), we ask for two months rent deposit though some balk at the idea, and try to visit their house if it is in our area.

I'm just glad our two constructions are on the other side and we bought our upcoming supplies in bulk prior to the 1st.If this keeps up there's going to be a complete halt and/or severe lag time for new construction, and used home prices are going to get the used vehicle treatment.

The city requires the garage concrete floor to be a certain thickness when it is inhabited vs. just used for vehicles, so I know someone who had to excavate the floor then pour a new foundation that is the proper thickness.

When my husband and I are showing a unit, one of us will stay out front and "wait for our next appointment to show up" (even if we don't have any more coming) so we can go check out their vehicle while the other one shows them the unit interior.
