As we have seen across the country, short-term rental regulation is viable.

So getting ownership over something in that context makes a great deal of sense, as long as the longer-term plan is to move out and rent out the property, rather than selling. 

I rarely negotiate on lease terms with my tenants, and any concessions are going to be tied to lengthier leases.
