It does say right on my form that tenant understands that we may find additional issues before the security deposit is mailed back.

Mail carrier said it's been unoccupied "for years."

If they don't pass muster, we mail them a denial letter as per our state law.

Marie is exactly right.... all you can do at this point is contact the owner via mail at the property, at the prison, etc.
