Introduce yourself in person so you can get to know them and their desire for staying or going -AND hand them a letter of intro that details where and to whom rent is made out to.  

My plan is to write a letter to the owners introducing myself and basically inquiring whether or not they're interested in selling.  

Figure I should introduce myself after lurking around BP for 6-7 months now.
