Those pulls have very little impact and I think this myth that you can't shop around or risk damaging your credit is a really cheap marketing move to scare people into grabbing the first lender that calls them.

Increasing overhead before you actually make a profit usually doesn't end well.If you can sell your vision large enough and have a track record in a relative field to attract a good enough quality team without giving away too much equity or giving yourself enormous overhead this method will help you skyrocket.P.S To attract high quality people you have to already have a vision.
