The competition is high, the barrier to entry is practically zero, and people have NO idea anything about photography so they aren't eager to pay what a good photographer is worth until you educate them on why you're valuable (sales 101 really). for a 2000sqft house I would charge $200 for 25 photos, but that's processed, with detail shots, and I build them to create a great flow through the house.
