Big Hat Rich Landlord is getting sued.Proper entity structuring won't preserve your assets if you really did something horrible and deserve to be sued- but it will keep attorneys of the "ambulance chasing" variety away from you like a hot tin roof to a cat!

Hell I got interested in real estate right after seeing Carlton Sheets step off of his supposed jet and into a fancy car and him telling me how easy it is to be rich.

Most deals that go down around Charleston, Greenville, and Columbia seem to have partnerships unless your rich, hang out with rich and can offer them a good return for the use of their Self directed IRA.  

After recently finishing the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill I have come to the conclusion that this and The Art of War might be two of the strongest pieces of literature I have ever read to begin changing my actions. 

Upon returning, I, following the ritual, read 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad', and a few others (notably, The Alchemist) and quickly became engrossed by real estate. 

Thanks Mike, I'm a lurker here and its always great to read about other peoples experiences etc but real estate and investing can be very broad subjects.I'm not necessarily looking for a club as much as I'm looking for a field, subject matter to study, or some good recommendations on books etc.Originally posted by @Rich C: Eventually I'll network and learn as a go but is it worth me diving into the realtor side of things?

I see too that Josh just admitted to doing better than that, now he won't admit the real numbers, LOL, guess he doesn't want us to figure out how rich he's getting....:)) Well, it didn't happen overnight, so more power to him!
