If you go to work for a national home builder (Toll, KHOV, DR HORTON, PULTE, etc.) you will get great exposure to land development (acquisitions, entitlement, improvements, sales, construction, HOA's, etc.).I worked for home builders for a long time and I was always willing to help my team (supers, construction managers, admins, etc.) learn more about the process and improve themselves.  

Any recommendations for financial institutions that offer great rates and terms would be so appreciated.

A smaller bank like them is a better option than some of the large institutions. 

I don't advise coming to a national forum here for questions that depend on what state, county, and city you are in.

These institutions are incredibly stupid, but thats ok. 

Any QI with a national presence  and demonstrated experience will be able to help you out.
