I think capitalizing on the heavy lifting completed when I bought the property makes MORE SENSE than renting it out watching it get torn up as a rental.

When you start out you'll do 90% of the lifting or you'll pay someone else $$$ to handle it. 

You are better off putting your money into 5% CD  for 12mo or a 4.15% hysa that Apple is offering now if you want to have access to it.

@Tim Watson It depends on where your shopping :-)You can find the 1% rule but from our experience it required lifting and remodeling to boost the value.

When your IRA invests in stock of Apple, you do not get to take the dividend income personally.
