I have done RE, I'd say I was pretty successful at it, but it took a lot of studying, had to start at the bottom learning stuff that didn't seem to be very valuable but later it all fell into place.

So if I have to fix or clean anything beyond normal wear and tear I consider my time "reasonably" valuable so it hits the security deposit pretty hard.
