The only property tax discounts in Mecklenburg county that I am aware of are for the elderly low income households (65+) and/or disabled veterans and that only applies to their primary residence.  

I'm in the process of converting my Primary Residence into a vacation rental, and this would solve a major logistic issue I have with granting access to the house.

I have the cash reserves to replace the whole thing (thankfully) but I'm curious to know what others think.Additional background, I have to replace another AC unit on my primary residence this year also so I'd like to be in a position to quote two units and get a discount.  

We started looking for house as our primary residential.

Bigger Pockets family,I recently spoke with my mortgage broker to get approved for a loan on a new primary residence. 

Did you do a primary and a mezz loan on this deal or do you just mean it's a short term initial loan that you will refi out.

So I have a primary residence that I am converting to a rental so that we can purchase another primary.
