I would recommend getting a CPA when you feel like your taxes are to complicated for you to handle.Also factor in the time that you spend to do your taxes and the hourly rate it takes you to do it.Also be mindful that a part of the CPA fees that you pay may be tax-deductible

The issue with this claim is that they are assuming you are either eligible to claim real estate professional status or have a STR that is eligible to be treated as active.
