I've focused my search mainly in Rhode Island because it seems to be a little cheaper to get started than mass but I am open to anything within an hour from the Bridgewater MA area.

There are two hotels in town and they are not cheap to stay at so you may have a niche here if advertised properly.I have seen seen properties advertised on the MLS for as little as $1,000 for a week and more during memorial day and labor day weekends.There are plenty of two family homes available for sale and plenty more that can be converted so you and the family can stay here and relax and still make money in the process from renters occupying the second unit.Another market you may want to consider is the North Fork of Long Island is another great place as the vineyards are open year round and in the later winter months they have Jazz on the Vine to drum up some business.

Relatively inexpensive, easy to transport, easy to put together if you follow the directions (except for the under-counter corner lazy susan - just walk right on by that one), there's a pretty wide selection of styles and colours and then they 'hang' from a rail on the wall so that the rail is secured to studs instead of trying to line up the cabinets to hit a stud (which never ever ever seems to be in the right place).If the cabinets are in good shape but not quite nice enough, and you're going to be making an island, you might be able to use them for that because an island doesn't have to be too matchy-matchy.

For example, we have a 3 br condo on Folly River (back side of Folly Island) that has a beautiful dock/boat slip for fishing, they are 2 blocks from the beach, and in the summer months, our rates equal out to $179 per night per couple if there were 3 couples using the home.
