I would start by setting up a meeting with your non-problem children.

I have a family of 7, 5 adults and 2 children that wish to rent our rental home.

All are responsible, young professionals and some have children.  

Any neighborhood children go missing while you were there?

Also, listen to podcasts and network with other wholesalers3) Find a mentor who can touch base with you regularly to field your questions and inspire you. 

I'm working my way through my long reading list taken from BP, some are to be expected, some I had never heard of.Rich Dad, Poor Dad -- good inspirational, big picture book but basicThe unofficial guide to real estate investing -- helpful for understanding some of the concepts of  and  real estate vocabulary buildingThe four hour work week -- not one of my favorites but like the philosophyThe One Thing -- great book on focusing on the things that matter and create results and cutting out (or delegating) the things that don't. 

My wife and children do not need to think about these things!

@Joshua Dorkin @Brandon Turner Thanks Josh for the Welcome - I am huge into Information Technology (over 20+ years) and I have to say I am 100% impressed with your site and your ability to stay on top with welcoming new members like me (especially having young children around - I have 3 of them and it is hard to even type this will all the craziness going around me).As a social experiment,  I am interested to see how long it takes Brandon to notice this post as well :- )  I wish you and your family a successful 2015 year and if you ever need anything here in the far Northwest Chicago suburbs, just let me know.

For households with young children who spill drinks (red dye is the worst) and use indelible ink markers with the carpet as their canvas, the carpets may need to be re-dyed instead of replaced.  

So, I'm eager to learn everything there is to learn and very excited to meet and network with like- minded people, get inspiration and knowledge, and eventually do REI full time ( I currently work in the Oil&Gas sector).
