Maybe if you are doing STR thru another platform like AirBnB or VRBO for 30 days or less, maybe no notice required.  100% guess.Ask your broker about running rentals thru your brokerage.

They have done a great job managing guests and the STR platforms to maximize bookings but when we returned to stay a few days we found lots of broken furniture, stained carpets and other details that were neglected.

I always wanted to deal with those right there and closest to the action.Lastly take care not to get sucked into war zone's because they look good on paper.. the absolute highest advertised returns need to be vetted well so your not investing in a troubled area.To that end I wrote a little e book about the do's and don'ts  no  recommendation of markets or companies.. but 20 years of experience on the little things that you want to look out for when your buying out of state..... drop me a PM and I will shoot it over to youGood luck with your search I hope you find some good properties.

One big problem I am seeing here, which I see as very commonplace by the way because conventional insurance agents don't know better, is a lot of people co-mingling personal exposures with business or commercial exposures.Here is a post I did on another social media platform that will hopefully help.
