Hi guys,I’ve got my first rental property that I’m using for student rental at a local university.

I am looking at duplex that has a great location of about 1 block from a major hospital, 1.5 miles from a major university and about 1 mile from downtown of a city of 100,000.

With a lot of hard work, I was able to get my Bachelor of Science from West Chester University debt free. 

You may be better off with an SFR and bringing in roommates as this will probably put you in a nicer house in a nicer area.To sum it up, try to stay in Tempe near the university if you can afford it, but Ahwatukee, Chandler, south Scottsdale, and parts of Mesa should work for you as well.

Any recommendations for quality 3-unit multi-family property managers in or serving West Philly/University City area?

If you live near a college or university, you should check out SabbaticalHomes.

Ask yourself why nobody in the entire universe really wants to be in these places.

If you end up with a SFR being near a University can be very good also since there is a demand for one bedroom places for students. 

Would prefer multifamily.I am looking at state college/ Hershey/Are there are other towns with good colleges/ universities apart from philly.
