We rented a house located on a pond in the Catskills for the last week in July.  

If the house were minimally livable based on other prices of houses in the neighborhood, excluding the extra land what do you think the house is worth if you had to sell it?

Currently house hacking (rent by the room) in my primary home (1st property) in Texas while working out of state.

If you wait 30 years to start budgeting for a roof, the house will rot into the ground from leaks before you have accumulated enough to replace it.

It's the same for younger people as well, you don't get as much respect, this one lady treated me like I wasn't even ganna get pre approved for a triplex, looked at me all weird,  and 2 weeks later I bought the house! 

Hello All,I just secured a 0.4-acre lot with a burnt house on it in the Bakersfield, CA area.

The VA loan is designed as owner occupy primary residence.

The bank notes with friends and family range from 8-10% annual payout.The community has 5 tenants, 4 TOH (tenant owned homes) paying $325 per month, and a house $500 per month.

The moral hazard is that the owner’s and the manager’s interests are not always aligned.

We have had a lot of applications and several showings but haven't been able to land it to no fault of the house.
