With me having W2 income, being able to take bonus depreciation against that would result in more cash in my pocket for the next property.My question- have any of you had success claiming active income on a long distance self managed STR?

Look around at employment ads count the ones that are offering sign on bonuses.

Keep in mind two of the reasons health care travelers are seeing their wages fall are that some local hospitals are raising rates or doing retention bonuses for local health care professionals.

The 4th bedroom upstairs is more of a bonus room but does have a closet and large window.

The other bonus to buying right now is that contractors are available and able to help with the rehab.
