I don't believe you need to have a social security number to be licensed but you will need a tax id number in order to get paid which you can obtain under your name or your company name.

He doesn't make enough to pay the rent on his own, but is moving in with his Grandma as well, who receives a Social Security check every month that would easily cover the rent on its own.
