@Vann Calhoune the downside is having your property destroyed and costing you thousands of dollars to fix.

I live off dividend income from investments, several thousand per month.

The easiest way that jumps to mind is if you have a basement, you might be able to put in an egress window for a couple thousand bucks.

There are hundreds of thousands of us here to do just that.
