I certainly would recommend speaking with a loan officer before paying off any student loan debt.  

They choose one with low rates or a shiny website or a fancy office or based on the recommendation of a friend or stranger on BP and just assume everything will work out.

The comradery and family feel that this office has is unique to anywhere that I have ever worked before.

When I applied for the rental permit, I got this message.Looking over the rental registration paperwork with the New Castle County parcel information it shows it to be 100% basement, but doesn’t show any basement % finished.I had checked in the original building permit and on the certificate of occupancy (12/19/03), and it doesn’t list a finished basement on them documents either.

Purchase price: $180,000 Cash invested: $60,000 I got this deal in my office because an older agent was talking about how she couldn't even go into the property because the mold and cockroaches.

I suppose I could also talk to the leasing office and ask them up front if I should expect a ~ $400 rent increase in April or if they would work out a better deal.
