New Real Estate Agent - What Did You Wish You Knew Starting Out?
Hello to my friends of the BiggerPockets Connecticut Community!
I’ve been reading all of your posts (I've learned SO much!) and thought I would finally jump in and finally post myself!
I am new licensed Connecticut real estate agent with Vitale Realty in Waterbury. The comradery and family feel that this office has is unique to anywhere that I have ever worked before. I am very grateful to have been warmly welcomed to an office with an awesome team, great support system and amazing opportunities. I consider all of the Brokers to be my Mentors. They answer all my questions no matter how silly I feel to ask. I will make my Brokers proud that they hired me! My ultimate goal is to run my own real estate brokerage and branch out throughout New England.
Whilst going to college, I worked in Legal Real Estate doing closings and title work for several law firms. Presently, my full time job is with the Connecticut DOT, in the Office of Rights of Way, which handles legal real estate from project management to land acquisition, title work, document prep, closings and excess land disposition. I've done it all... draft a deed, notarize it, prorate any payments, negotiate repairs, draft a HUD Statement, and now I look forward to selling your home to the perfect Buyer and scour the MLS to find you the perfect home.
I am beyond excited to jump into the Real Estate market. I want to absorb and learn all I can from my colleagues in the office and become the go-to agent in my area! I could talk about Real Estate and financing all day and never get tired of the topic. I geek out a bit when I get excited and talk Real Estate. Is anyone else as excited as I am about Real Estate!?
I would love to connect to other real estate professionals in the area! Mortgage Brokers, House Inspectors, Real Estate Agents, Underwriters, Insurance Agents… lets connect!
But what I really want to learn is: What you wish you knew when you started out? What was your worst/most complicates closing that you learned from the most?
Thank you all!!
