There are different levels to the strategy but the general concept is generating income from your primary residence to decrease living expenses.

If they think the concept is even the slightest bit confusing or a scam, they will throw it away. 

If concept of Buyer and Seller agent exist for Land-purchase.- Would land Buyer agent be as transparent as Home Buyer agent. - as land details could be more hazy, as compared to already built house..with inspection performed by authorities.- Pictures may be ‘inaccurate’.

What has gotten me thinking about this is the Rich Dad Pour Dad concept that your house is not an asset although I would not have the options I have now without having purchased my home. 

I’m in Florida and I know there are a few differences than Indy but pretty much the same concept.

We could convert the basement apartment into our own living space at any time after the lease ends and enjoy another 1100 sf of living space, complete with a open concept kitchen/living area, 2 bedrooms, and 1 bathroom.As you can tell, I'm a big hype man for househacking.However, I just (like as in Friday 4/30/21) purchased a property near downtown Greensboro with 2 doors that we are going to rent out as a pure long term rental.
