I discuss my RE with my brother that is also an active investor and a few investor buddies.

I was told that the RE markets that had safeguards to ensure that the people who are applying for loans are qualified are not really being affected by the foreclosure crisis.

I know of a ton of great RE Groups up there that have some experienced investors that can help you with the local market.

I work in a manufacturing facility (i'm in finance) and i'm getting my feet wet in RE.

This would be my fist property so I don't know how long it would take to re sell it.

I actually made a decision about 7 years ago to work with Real Estate Investors because I was running into a lot of investors at my club meetings who have had bad experiences or working with CPA's that are not RE savvy.I have also found that "RE EXPERTISE" is more important than "PROXIMITY"

I am an investor first and also a RE Agent.Look to be able to use this forum to network some more.
