Christopher Gadison Solar farming has anyone profited from it?
8 July 2021 | 1 reply
@Christopher Gadison I'm out for my W2 work now doing agent work for large utility-scale solar development. There are a few ways people get into solar profitably:1) Own raw land in massive contiguous or nearly-contiguous quantities near or under high voltage transmission lines; get it leased by a big solar developer; usually 2,000+ acres depending on area and power prices.2) Put together a solar "deal" and flip the deal to a large renewables company; you find the land, get it under contract/lease, design and engineering the facility, get everything permitted, line up contractors, line up a PPA (power purchase agreement), then sell the whole thing off3) Develop and operate one yourself (this is very rare for private folks at utility scale).

On the back end it will make reordering faster, increase the likelihood your fixtures will be in stock, and keep the look uniform throughout your units. This has been one of my latest go-to's:Westinghouse 7801765 - it's under $100 and given enough time and quantity, I can save about 30-40% by buying direct (although that requires a bit more work).

I am the only one listed on the deed for the house. As part of our plan to accumulate enough rental property to generate sufficient monthly cash flow to in order to retire (we also have other non real estate investments), we are planning on renting out our personal residence and moving into our next project property...This will allow us to keep the owner occupied financing that I have had in place on the house (I have checked my mortgage documents and I am in the clear to do this), intact and provide some nice cash flow that we can put to use in renovating our next project house.
