As we know housing doesn't paid for more garage space, with the proposed cut around $9.5 billion in 2018, my rent is not getting SAFMR (small area fare market rent) if I include 3 car garage.   

My plan is to use most of this cash for down payment for a multi family building, But I also have student loans that are sitting at 20k and will be at 24k by the end of this fall.

Single, multi-family, Condo?

I don’t play in the large multi area, but if I were it would make me very nervous with all the multi and singles family inventory coming online in the next 1-1.5 years.

Multi family experience a plus as I’ll likely be buying a four plexus. 

We are interested in purchasing a multi-unit property in Charlotte, NC and live in one of the units, and plan to rent out the other rooms or list them on Airbnb. 

I’m mostly interested in multi-family buy and hold properties, but I’m not opposed to other outlets.

@Andrew Kasprzycki I think it would be better to purchase larger commercial/multi-family.
