I have been in the pharmaceutical industry for 9 years, and have no intention of making real estate a career.  

It's very common in the construction industry. 1099s are for way more than waitresses. 

I should have jumped into the forums sooner, but was hesitant for some reason....I am currently in the corporate world and have been involved in the electronic security industry for over 16 years.

If you were able to learn maths, physics and so on at school, why wouldn’t you be able to learn about the stock market, real estate or any other industry that you are passionate about?

We relocated to my hometown of Butler, PA (about an hour north of Pittsburgh) after the decline in the oil and gas industry in 2020 which left us jobless.

Real Estate is such a broad industry.
