I’m leaning more towards buying a multifamily first: I recently learned you can use a FHA loan on a multifamily, and again on a single family home but not the other way around. Are any you familiar with first homebuyer programs/grants here?

I’m leaning more towards Atlanta because the opportunity seems to be greater there and being positioned on the east coast will open more doors in my opinion. My plan is to single family house hack since my loan is good anywhere being that I have the ability to work remote.

Unless one option is significantly cheaper than the others, I would lean towards going with option one.Not only will the upfront costs likely be cheaper, but the cost to maintain the units over their lifetime should be cheaper as well.

Probably cost around $1400 (assuming 2 weeks at a hotel @ $100/night) I’m leaning towards option 3 with 1 and 4 being throw away options.
