Hi, reading this thread with interest as I have the opposite problem: my son and his buddies paid rent on time to Zeus for the last 3 months in San Francisco, and Zeus didn't pass it on to landlord who now wants to evict them.

My son is a flight student in the area and he owns a 3/2 in Milton that he Airbnb's .

We have two beautiful children, our son is 3.5 and our daughter is 1.5.

In other words, don't think you're beating the system by renting the property to your son-in-law's LLC.Another minor consideration is that there are costs associated with set-up and maintenance of your SDIRA.

I suspect no one will ever check that you are a student but for that price you might as well be a student in case they check.By the way my son in living out of his car at UCSB.  

Have you requested the police report and is the son a resident at the property? 

We don’t want to be slumlords just trying to retire early and build some generational wealth for our son.
