@Tim Grich the issue you are running into is that you dont have the current rents reported on your Schedule E.

After I reported this to our Association, believing they should be replacing the garage door, Association's attorney told me Garage door is owner's responsibility.

@Jack CallinanBe mindful that owning a house-hack with more than one person(who is not a spouse) does add a lot of complexities to your return.First, since it is owned as tenants in common by two individuals that are non-spouses, you would each need to report the activity on your return.2nd, it is a house-hack - House hacking makes your tax situation more complex.You purchased a property that is treated as both an investment property and a personal residence.

Address discrepancies, different SSN's showing up on the credit report, etc. 

I did not choose to show address when sharing the report.

Most of those loans are full recourse, but don't report on personal credit although the loan is personally guaranteed by the members.Stephanie
