Hello, I've been helping my parents look for new property, since they want to move out, they currently live on a duplex and plan to move to a new place and use their current property as a rental, as I'm helping them look for houses, we found one that they're interested in.

From a childhood where my parents moved us every year, fixing up homes and selling for a profit (riding the RE wave of the 70s), I had an early comfort with and trust in real estate.

My parents bought this 9-acre farmstead using owner financing 2 years ago.

I will add for context that most of our communication have been through the daughter, who is in high school, due to the parents not speaking English well.

Fortunately I do have the luxury of my parents paying for it but I still have a question:What college major should I do?

My parents are telling me to keep a $100 balance and pay it down slowly.

I guess my interest in real estate came from the fact my parents have always rented their whole life and I want to be able to help own a house.

Granted I would have had to live at my parents and commute an hour+ to work each way, which I had just got done doing when I moved into this property and did NOT want to go back to that, lol.2.
