I also doubt any court would find you negligent as a property owner for any incident with a police dog under the control of the handler, and the handler is always controlling the animal, even if he leaves the dog inside and runs to the store. :) 

I became inspired to do REI shortly before leaving the states but now I am about 6 months away from where I want to begin my investing.What can I do to build myself as an REI even from afar (besides just study and research, I have been doing plenty of that I can assure you!) 

Also, we are financing the property, so we will need HO Ins before we close.Seems silly to me, as vacancies are expected in investor properties - I posed the question, "what happens when that tenant leaves, do you stop insuring the property?" 

Hopefully without a cent leaving the entire time.

I am planning on leaving my teaching  position and taking FMLA to stay home and take care of the baby.  

It would require 75K in renovations to leave it a SFR.

I know this is an old thread but I thought I'd leave my notes about currentforeclosures.com as I just looked at it.- All of the leads I looked at were on the MLS, some were REOs, but most were properties where the listed price was reduced.

I know that there are property management companies that I could use but I'm afraid just getting started, this would be leaving money on the table on my end.
