Since I’m not opening a LLC or anything like that it just goes on an additional document along with my individual tax forms.

It's almost a wash, and the additional cash flow from paying off the mortgages is exact and unwavering, whereas the cash flow from my building was not, so that kind of stabilizes my income a little bit as I go into  retirement. 

Longer term I am interested in building a portfolio of additional multi family properties and ideally I could see this as something that my wife and I could do full time. 

The house mentioned above I believe we ended up about $1500 in misc pipe repairs and adding a few sections of baseboard for the kitchen renovation and master bath addition.

Then we had to replace areas of framing on interior and rebuild the window framing plus repair the aged window, but you might need to consider new window as well based on how many on that wall. then drywall and any other infrastructure that needs to be done on that wall: electric plumbing, etc. that affected wall had plumbing so new code dictated double wall with insulation on outer most wall which added additional cost. termite damage went as high as the roof truss and I needed to replace a beam, but luckily above the bottom beam was the only affected area.

If you are going to buy additional property in the future, I may consider paying a bit more on this loan to establish a relationship with a bank that will provide different loans in the future.

Is it a separate request and additional fee to for this unrecorded lien/violation search? 

I owe $492,000 to my mortgager and an additional $65,000 for my renovation loan, which I used to replace the electric, HVAC, windows, solar system, lights, and fans.

No additional taxes, and no IRS flags.
