Vs an agent who pushes a specific lender and does not seem to address our concerns or take the time to educate on the issues that you've brought up about the risks of a bad lender. 

Just focus on educating them on the numbers, and ask them why they are uncomfortable with the rental business.It's okay not to deal while you are in college.

It's these same racist attitudes that can keep us, (AAs), from getting loans to become homeowners, where our kids can get access to better schools, in turn affecting their higher education, & last, their standard of living as adults. 

For most potential investors it is better to get your ducks in a row with education, income, and savings and then invest.   

Hey Rachel, It sounds like you've already taken massive steps toward your goal and are getting a lot of the education you need to succeed.

Educate yourself, find the deal, find the money and make it happen.

I am 47, a single mom, a special education teacher and a recently licensed real estate agent ( which at the moment I am doing part-time while teaching).
