I'll ask some of the commercial brokers in my office for good lenders to talk to and treat a few to lunches or find another networking event where I could meet some savy lenders.

IF you are considering a BRRRR, I would network first with your local REIA and try to find a contractor/s and/or an experienced flipper/rehabber.

Poor due to having lost everything but having "rich" in the knowledge and network it would take to build it again.

I reside in the Montgomery county, MD and would love to network and meetup with like-minded RE professionals to share RE experience (good, bad and ugly), perspective on trends locally, financing strategies, etc.

These events are great social networks that allow regular folks like you and me to bounce investment ideas off of one another, and from that partnerships can be established to mutually benefit each other.

Figure out what you can do to help someone who is doing what you want to do... and offer your services.Without a formal mentor I have learned a ton by networking with local real estate investors.
