We look for a number of things on the credit report.... previous addresses, debt to previous landlords, debt to previous utility companies, responsible debt paying, total current outstanding debt and what type, general credit worthiness and demonstration of using credit responsibly. 

The owner is simply served at the address shown for owner in the lease or deed.

Im a real estate wholesale newbie.I heard a great way to get started is driving for dollars so i been doing this for the last month or so and i think ive driven almost the whole city even though i may have missed a few spots.I looked up the owners and sent them mail.I think ive gotten maybe two calls so far and some letters returned because it was a wrong address or something.My question how effective is driving for dollars and has anyone gotten their first deal this way?

Now to my question, can I get the mailing address and the name of the investor from the assessor office.

However, that does not address your sell side plans.  

Not into calling people names or even addressing those that do.

Here is the kicker.... they wouldn't give us a name or address.

How do you know where the 5 properties are located when only one address was mentioned in the post?

Once you found distress properties and identfy owners name and address to mail letters, how do you figure out who to direct mail to?
