We live in Modesto, California.We own a few rental properties in our hometown: Two single-family homes and a "mother-in-law" cottage that we list on Air BnB and is pretty much rented out continuously by traveling nurses.

Two standard rental homes, plus a small cottage that we rent out on a short-term basis to traveling nurses via AirBnB. 

I am starting out wholesaling and plan to move on to rehabs, rentals, and RCFE's in the future.My goal is to become a full time investor within the next year, eventually become financially independent, and have the freedom to enjoy more quality time with my family and travel the world.

I don't think they will travel outside that area.

Thanks for the info and tips, @Steven Bond.There's a couple of reason for starting with a property management company but the primary reason is I want to find a solid support network early in building my portfolio rather than try to pivot once I've hit my target number of properties.I also travel a whole lot for my day job.  

People who are traveling down the same road, but taking different approaches to make it to the same goal in real estate success.  

I have been finding good deals in Omaha and now find myself splitting time between Omaha  and traveling in Asia.

I'm looking forward to connecting with local investors in the Houston, Texas area or any part of Texas, actually anywhere in the world because I love to travel.

I'm just tired of all the traveling - bouncing around from country to country.

So far the experience has been positive and will be traveling down there in two weeks to wrap up some family business
