Where you might run into issues is getting permits closed out if you have a gas line out there (for an oven) or a 220v (that appears to be for an oven).

The only unexpected thing was I re piped the downstairs water from PVC to pex.. it had a couple leaks and I figured it'd be easier to get it done with me living there vs when it's rented.

Chances are there is a leak somewhere, usually a toilet flapper.The thing that made this a no-brainer for us was several times tenants failed to report leaky toilets, and since we had no way to PROVE it was their leaky toilet that caused the entire high usage we ended up eating the bill.

But as you look into it you see:no separate water meters so the owner paysno separate electric meters  so the owner paysno separate gas meters so the owner payshave to pay trashhave to mow/handle snowhigher property management feesetcSo the single family might be making way more money at the same price, despite the fact that the triplex has $500 a month more rent.
