In some municipalities, an unlawful detainer (“i.e. eviction) is still possible to obtain, that being said California state statues AB 1482 and AB 3088 severely limit most landlords abilities to evict tenants, and in most instances only able to evict for “just cause” meaning that the tenant has been a nuisance or has threatened the safety of other tenants at the property.

A monthly allowance for every American who makes under a certain threshold—not slot just enough to potentially cover the basics—give all renters rent vouchers that ensure landlords always get paid, nationwide law that evictions can only be for a good reason like criminal activity, risks to safety, damage to the property, national right to counsel for eviction defendants, universal health care, universal college tuition, and make it easier to buy a home.I don’t understand how anyone can be against those things?

I think you would be best farming the rental to a property management co to be arms length from rent collection and possible eviction.Its a sad reality, Good samaritans helping family, friends etc get screwed alot.The safest scenaroi is if they moved out and rented something short term.
