Hey All, I'm new to REI and also recently discovered that my parents are willing to fund a project or two as I am starting out.

I think the only time I could not invest as a limited partner is if I was genuinely illiquid at that time.

After discovering the difference between assets and liabilities, I am now seeking out advice from others on how to go about this.

When we started digging for basement we discovered that neighbors sewer line going from my lot(where my house envelop is) and Connected to my sewer tap. 

Similar to you, my boyfriend and I discovered BP earlier this year and got going on real estate investing not long after.

I'm not suggesting greediness or spite ... just genuine misunderstanding of how things should work. 

When they discover that paying you is not optional, that you're enforcing the lease immediately - not to mention that evictions and judgments on one's credit bureau are "forever things" - they might just decide that it's hard to overcome stupid and pay you today.You're running a business. 

I hear plenty of sob stories and genuinely want to help the person out on a human level.  

A lot of times I genuinely want to share the fruits of my REI labor; paying for friends’ dinners/outings, etc but I then feel guilty when they start to feel like they can’t reciprocate.

I love the free educational content, genuine people involved, and the strait forward approach.
