@Brett Hearn Here in Canada we don't have legislation similar to Dodd-Frank, but I do take some of the consumer protection steps that are recommended in that act.

The seller/investor, I imagine, could easily ask the other one when they meet & find out but this seems more of a hassle because its one more trip, one more step in the process.
