After we’ve done a few deals with the mentor we would like to rehab and hold the properties.We’re looking for an outside perspective to shine some light on our situation.

(He apparently did not want the apartments as they were trashed, and plumbing pipes, lighting, etc. were all 'recycled' before the foreclosure.)So to access the storage units with how the property was developed  I need an easement on his property and he needs one on mine.Currently I am evicting him, asking the judge to have him assign his leases to me. 

I wish I would've seen the light when I was that young.

The court overturned stare decisis (established case law) to make their decision which they don't do lightly so this is actually a really big deal.  

Are there any current Airbnb investors in the area that can shed light on this?  

Been lukewarm to the whole idea of becoming a real estate agent but this situation (and a few others...) lights that fire a little...

I realize it is -- or may be -- a unique scenario, but can anyone shed some light on anyone doing deals like this?

I picked up a huge 2 fam in West Bergen Right by the light rail a couple months ago thats going to make a lot of sense for a house hacker.
