I want to buy an X but can't justify it. 

With the stock market doing poorly right now, and real estate prices relatively high, and borrowed money relatively expensive,  there isn't an investment category that looks all that great to justify the expense you would incur to create the income you seek.  

During my inspection period I will have the place inspected and negotiate the price down to what I want to pay and justify it using the information that I learned from the inspector.

Let's further only look at A and B neighborhoods since the risk profile of a C or D neighborhood are so different, one would need substantially more gain to justify the extra risk (i.e. one eviction can wipe out 1-2 years of gains, and so forth).A few things I'm seeing: - Baltimore: With cap rates at 8% or higher for rehabbed townhomes, you can still get close to the one percent rule and still generate 18% total returns.  

I have been becoming more and more impatient and want to jump on real estate investing a bit soon but I am also struggling to justify which decision is better.Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Anique

In this area, its going to hard to justify rents to build on such a small parcel.

They should write and or review an LOI and do the math to justify or reject the property.

This can be very expensive and is usually the worst choice to make because you can't justify the cost.2.
