Ideally you want each property in their own LLC and then on top of that, if you are self-managing the properties, you would need to create an LLC just for the management or the tenant can also come after you since you are the property manager.

Passive income from a single property would not have been enough to live off of.This left me with 3 options: The wishful option: Keep my job in San Francisco for another 6 or so months, apply for a loan to purchase a house in the Denver area (ideally a duplex, but man good ones are tough to find right now).
