I'm planning out my investment strategy for the next 5 years and am considering adding a vacation property to the mix at either a lake or outside of a town we love visiting in the Texas hill country.

As I live in an affluent area of the country where avg. homes are 300k range I have thought of exploring the option to invest out of state where I can get involved immediately.

I'm sure plenty of you are familiar with this town since it is the home of the U of O Ducks football team.I have lived here my whole life after a short stent of being away when the economy tanked and jobs were almost non-existent.Since 2012 I have moved back here and started an air duct, chimney and dryer vent cleaning business.

We live in a college town, so we have always had the idea of rental income in the back of our mind.

Have you identified any specific towns/cities yet?

We're learning so much from the podcast and will definitely explore the site further.

I enjoy yoga and hope to teach this summer, and I also enjoy circus arts, dance, cooking, technology & computers, and exploring!
