The land next my rental has dead trees and is a threat  to my property, it is also generally a mess.  

However, the neighbors trampoline blew into the yard, apparently hit the tenants vehicle and broke their back taillight before the trampoline ended up 25-30 feet above the ground stuck in my tree (big trampoline).

Keep enough equity in your home that you don't endanger your primary residence if things go south.

I have lost the use of the backyard, there are tree stumps sticking out of the ground and I have 2 young kids, so it would be dangerous.

I've also heard of municipalities donating trees to help with improvements.

I have never boarded up windows (Tampa or Ocala, FL) - that's what insurance is for....and most of my damage has been from falling trees not flying debris.

I have 14 properties that range from 5 units to 65 units. i.e. fire inspections, renovations, landscaping projects (palm tree trimming, crepe myrtle trimming), notating new appliances (per unit), owner specifics (flooring type, paint color, interior finishes), capital projects, pressure washing, just to name a few.

I have a tree on the side of the property and I'm not sure who's tree it is.
