I am currently about to become an agent, and Victor told me that as far as my background is concerned, the best thing I could do is work in the sales of commercial RE, relationships for developers to sell their newly built homes, and then try to break into the invesment side of things.

Depending on dollar amounts you're talking about, you could even run a background check or hire a PI to research them.And networking in person @ local REI groups. 

2) Any background issues I need to know about, like bankruptcy or foreclosure?  

I suspect she is staying at the rental property without being on the lease.After more than a month, dad finally relented  and made mom submit an application to be added to the lease.During Background Check, I have uncovered 2 issues.

My dad is a contractor and has a construction company in Centerville, so I've got strong construction background as well as a great resource if I get in over my head on any one area.

I should have also spent more time looking at properties first but my finance background urges me to get the money lined up before I actually need it. 

There's a vacant home I know of that I'd like to acquire (see my recent posts for more background).  

In the future, I want to possibly wholesale a home, and make websites, apps, etc. for the investors ;) I'm setting goals to become very well-rounded in both my backgrounds.
