We'll see if that continues.My view is that the winter here might be a good time to buy some fixer properties (hopefully) as the arm chair investors get out of the mix with the winter weather starting.

I recently considered using a 12mm water resistant laminate (was on sale at $2/sqft) that had a real wood look and is click lock (floating) laid down. 

It's usually around 4-5 loans that you might start to get some resistance.

@Beth CannonHere in NJ for extended cold weather the system stops providing heat as there are no heat elements in the atmosphere to extract from.

The literature says it is moisture resistant not water proof.
