I see a lot of unnecessary risk in investing in another country.If you still want to do it, I would start off with something on the lower end that is still nice to see how it goes for a couple of years before making a major investment out of country.I would thoroughly research all expenses such as taxes insurance, permits etc.

I'm not endorsing his products, or encouraging anyone to buy anything, just making information available to fellow board members that may be in the same predicament I am (trying to learn about a process that is very complicated; is county and state specific; and information is not readily available on the internet without weeding through scammers, or high-priced gurus... or individually calling each county treasurer's office...I also came across a website: **********This is a searchable database/auction platform with both tax liens (under financial instruments) and tax deed auctions, with a calendar of upcoming auctions.

I don't blame you , it is a very complicated marketplace.

It gets complicated really fast.Better to simply reimburse yourself for a business expense and take an immediate deduction. 

My apologies on taking so long to respond - I decided to abandon the consulting LLC in its entirety as it was completely unnecessary.

@Jessenia Hartagefor sure you should house hack there if you can.investing there is more complicated since prices are high. 

Obviously it would be more complicated than others but my Class C/D portfolio has seen much.

And the old adage is to get them in an LLC (LLC Series / which complicates leases and stuff) is not necessary. 

There are tools out there but we have found that they are more complicated and as a result, introduce more places for errors to creep in.

I'm not sure if it makes taxes more complicated or different either.
